San Diego's McMillin Realty lays off workers
McMillin Realty, a longtime housing presence in San Diego, recently laid off 11 workers to "reposition" the company, said Sandy Perlatti, senior vice president of marketing at the Corky McMillin Companies. The layoffs included: five employees in administrative and accounting roles, one in land development, two in asset management, (a job that will be outsourced,) one in land acquisition, one in project finance and one in the in-house legal department. In all, 412 people work at the company, which has four offices: two in Bonita, one in Chula Vista and another in San Diego.
"The recovery has not been as robust as we would've hoped," said Perlatti, who has been with the company 30-plus years. "...There was trimming in all areas...so the company can be well positioned to go into the future."
